Ceschi & Factor Chandelier Share Hand-Drawn Video For "Electrocardiographs"

When describing the music Ceschi Ramos has released, there’s no clear and decisive point of origin. His style, sound & vision always remains within the space in between the crevices of any definitive genre but most have associated him with Hip-Hop because well, he raps. And raps well. For over 10 years Ceschi has worked with Canadian producer Factor Chandelier, and most recently worked on 2015’s Broken Bone Ballads, that is until now. Ceschi is set to release Sad Fat Luck (Fake Four, Inc.) in April, once again produced by Factor. Today the hand-drawn video for the intense “Electrocadiographs” (Directed by Squalorscope) is released.

Of “Electrocardiographs” Ceschi says, “After my first mini-tour of Eastern Canada after 5 years of exile, I was confronted with the fact that the same business that had prevented me from entering that country was now flourishing legally for the ruling class of that same country. Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I simply started thinking about the many ways that I had been dealt rough hands. As a Latino youth in a predominately black elementary school, I never fully fit in — but discovered hip hop, Malcolm X, Ashby flea market drum circles, chew sticks, and the definition of a riot that came with the Rodney King beatings. I wasn’t like the “white” kids who were too scared to go to school either. I didn’t understand them.

In my earliest teens, I was abruptly uprooted and moved to a suburb of CT where I first felt true racism. They all dressed the same in white shirts & blue jeans, while I wore wild colors, played instruments, hated the police, dyed my hair like my grunge heroes and smoked anything I could get my hands on.

Now, we are back here again. Trump, white-shirted bully is in office. Again, I am alienated with many of my marginalized brothers and sisters — us of queer, liminal, radical culture.”

Ceschi hits the road with a 7 piece band for the ‘Sad, Fat Luck’ North America tour, featuring a 7 piece band with countless special guests: Sammus, Astronautalis, Sadistik, P.O.S. and more.
