Graham Hunt Shares "Guardian Angel's Arms"

Wisconsin-based cult favorite songwriter, Graham Hunt, is releasing his latest album, American Pyramid (Run For Cover Records), this Friday, August 28, 2026, and today he’s back with a final single, “Guardian Angel’s Arms.”

American Pyramid finds Hunt pushing himself out of his comfort zones, eschewing the homespun, computer-oriented explorations of his previous work and instead entering Minneapolis’ legendary Pachyderm Studio with an eight-piece band to try and capture a different side of his boundless creativity.

“Guardian Angel’s Arms” follows earlier singles “Getting Older,” “Riverboat Blues,” “Waiting For You To Come Home” (which drew attention from the likes of Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, and more) and merges quirky indie pop shimmer with Hunt’s innately Westerberg-ian grit. It’s the perfect final teaser before listeners can hear American Pyramid on Friday and see the full vision of one of the most one-of-a-kind songwriters in modern indie rock.
