Hyrrokkin premiere "Eightfold Way (Doublefist Remix), prep releases, tour

In support of their upcoming debut album Pristine Origin, which is packaged alongside the bonus remix album Inspire Rioting (featuring remixes of album tracks done by the likes of KK Null, James Plotkin, Kid Millions, Jenks Miller, Jerry Busher of Fugazi and more), instrumental power-trio Hyrrokkin have premiered their new “Eightfold Way (Doublefist Remix),” produced and remixed by James Plotkin of Doublefist / Khlyst / Khanate fame, exclusively at TinyMixTapes.com.
In addition, Hyrrokkin member and New Atlantis Records founder Ed Ricart describes two upcoming releases on his new label:
“While pulling together the remixes for Inspire Rioting, Hyrrokkin contacted noise legend Merzbow. Pleased with the group’s music, Merzbow invited the group to collaborate on an EP. After composing music to two new pieces by Merzbow, Hyrrokkin headed to Key Club Recording (Blonde Redhead, Fiery Furnaces, Black Keys) to record with Bill Skibbe in July of 2013. The music will see a release early 2014.
Later this year, Hyrrokkin will debut a new piece, called ‘Wisshak,’ also recorded in July with Bill Skibbe at Key Club Recording. The track will be released on a split 7″ with the art-rock quartet Bellini (members of Uzeda, Girls Against Boys) via New Atlantis Records.”

The band is also planning on heading out on a full U.S. tour this fall to support this new LP and upcoming releases, full tour dates, as well as multiple new videos (one of which will be premiered here at Ghettoblaster) for tracks off the new album coming soon.
