Video Premiere | Kick. Snare. Crash, “Pulp”

Drew Montgomery of Greenville, South Carolina dives deep into his musical locker, unfolding the questing puzzle one piece at a time — Kick. Snare. Crash.

Emotionally delivered with commanding vocals that could set a room on fire, Montgomery aims and charges for the heart. Most often found performing solo, and sometimes with the band behind him, the dynamic never changes in the music and craft that is Kick. Snare. Crash. and should not be taken lightly.

Thought-provoking, sound, bold and seasoned — Kick. Snare. Crash. is a mouthpiece for the variety of art that sends one’s soul traveling at the speed of illumination. Montgomery’s musical voyage began in 1994 while residing in Ohio, where his first band, Jesus Flying Rocketship would be conceived and later floating around the Tooth & Nail Records circle in 1996, playing a part of the label’s ‘Artcore Vol. 2’ compilation, and again in 1999 where Drew would become a fill-in and touring guitarist for the band Bleach (Forefront
Records, Tooth & Nail Records).

Eventually relocating to Tennessee, Montgomery went on to fashion distinguishable musical endeavors, which included The Kids, More Than Electric, Winter of ’74, The Only, and Via le Vulture — finding himself losing sleep and gaining miles from countless days of touring with bands such as Everclear, Our Lady Peace, Starflyer 59, Luxury, and Plankeye — just to name a few.

Subsequently piloting to Kick. Snare. Crash. in early 2022, Montgomery would see studio and stage time in its new form before new opportunities would arise just one year later. In 2023, Drew would find himself working alongside Chris White of Studio 15 (creator, director, and producer for the film, Electric Jesus), co-writing “Pulp” and “Taken In (A Song Of Hope),” which would later be recorded and produced by multi Grammy nominee and accomplished music industry veteran, David Elliot Johnson, whose credits include Bruce Springsteen and Blake Shelton.

Kick. Snare. Crash. is set to release Putting On A Brave Face: The Micro EP on Friday, May 3, with a
