Murder By Death Shares “Never Be”

Last month Murder by Death announced the Kickstarter campaign for their forthcoming album Spell/Bound which is being released on July 29.  Today they share the first single off the LP, “Never Be” and the band notes, “’Never Be’ is a cinematic tell-off song that simmers with dark and lush energy. Cello and violin weave around a hypnotic finger-picked acoustic in an arrangement that hints at Serge Gainsbourg or Elliott Smith.”

In support Spell/Bound Murder by Death has confirmed a U.S. tour which kicks off with a headline show at The Caverns in Pelham, TN on July 30 before a run of shows co-headlining with Amigo the Devil that starts August 5 in Austin, TX and concludes September 11 in Seattle, WA, with an end of tour BBQ, Doors will be 6 pm and include an option for folks to buy a BBQ dinner from Jack’s BBQ in town. Tickets are on sale now and all dates are listed below.

Murder by Death has always had to boldly pave its own path through the music industry by fostering its own secret universe.  The band’s 5th Kickstarter is underway with offerings for the Spell/Bound campaign that includes a Murder By Death comic/lyric book which contains  20 Artist interpretations of MBD songs (artists include J.H. Williams III, Ryan Browne, Erica Williams, Matt Bailey, & many more!), tickets to the band’s July 30 show at The Caverns in Pelham, TN, posters, and t-shirts made exclusively for Kickstarter and much more.
