David Garza Shares Video For “Rock & Roll Heart”

GRAMMY-winning Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and producer David Garza has released his 3Sirens Session EP via 3Sirens Music Group. The three-song collection continues the East Nashville-based music group’s sessions series and features intimate, stripped-down versions of previously unreleased songs from Garza’s extensive catalog. The EP’s release arrives with the official session video for “Rock & Roll Heart,” an insightful, meditative ballad that celebrates the duality of being human.

Over the last three decades, in addition to a notable recording career, Garza has produced for other artists including Rhett Miller (Old 97’s) and Fiona Apple, with whom he co-produced her critically acclaimed 2020 album, Fetch the Bolt Cutters. The impressive multi-instrumentalist has also shared the stage with Ani DeFranco, Jackson Browne, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, St. Vincent, Ben Harper and more.

Garza is affectionately referred to as “the third siren” in the 3Sirens family. His upcoming sessions EP was was produced by the music group’s co-founders The Grahams (Doug and Alyssa Graham) as well as long-time 3Sirens collaborator Dex Green at the official 3Sirens studio in East Nashville.

“Arriving at the Nashville 3Sirens studio felt like coming home,” says Garza. “Having been a fan of their work and of The Grahams for over 15 years, I knew that it was long overdue for such a bold collaboration. No veils to hide behind. No tricks other than sleight of song. To be challenged in front of the camera and microphone was the thrill of a lifetime, and to share these three songs under the banner of 3Sirens is an honor!”

“I cried watching this session in person,” shares 3Sirens co-founder Alyssa Graham. “We are lucky enough to know, create and dream with this most beautiful and true artist. Garza is one of those rare artists who will indeed be a legend, not only for his own music and spirit but for his tremendous artistic contribution to his fellow songwriters and community.”

Nestled in the close-knit community of East Nashville, 3Sirens Music Group is a welcoming creatives’ haven that’s firmly rooted in the magic of true collaboration, existing to nurture and support a community of like-minded artists. The 3Sirens Sessions series was created to celebrate and uplift these musicians, providing resources such as a recording studio, marketing support and global digital distribution through their own label and The Orchard.

Garza’s forthcoming release is the second installment in the 3Sirens Sessions series following John Doe’s session last fall. In line with their mission statement to build community and celebrate great artists, in December the artist-forward collective released 3Sirens Presents: With Love Part 2, a second compilation featuring Lilly Hiatt, Nicole Atkins, Elizabeth Cook and more taking on the likes of DEVO, The Church, and Tears For Fears. Cook’s spirited cover of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” earned praise several outlets. At their tucked-away studio, they’ve hosted recording sessions for Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion and Paste, among others.
