Video Premiere: The Blue Winter, "Poor Man"

Indie folk artist The Blue Winter is a one-man project/creative vessel for Northeast Ohio songwriter Aaron Troyer. Today, he shares “Poor Man,” a song about accepting the cards you’re dealt in life via Ghettoblaster.
The video was recorded live at Revelator Sound in Columbus, Ohio. Sonically, it’s a gentle, sparse arrangement of piano, guitar and his tender voice.

This is what he had to say about it:
“This song is about accepting the cards you’re dealt in life. I felt like as I got older the two truest statements were ‘you can’t change who you are’ and ‘you can’t change where you come from.’ I think wrestling with those two thoughts is common for almost everyone, regardless of your background.”
