Silver Snakes ready full-length, tour (2014)

As they gear up for the release of their new full-length Year Of The Snake early next year, Los Angeles’s Silver Snakes have just announced that they’ll head out for a string of shows along the West Coast from January 24 through 29.  The band will be teaming up with Griever and Children of God in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco, then will meet up with Self Defense Family and Creative Adult for the remainder of the shows in Seattle, Portland and Sacramento – check out the list of dates and venues below.
Silver Snakes released a two-song 7inch titled Sundance earlier this month, which features the title track “Sundance” as well as new version of the band’s previously released “All My Eye”.  These two songs act as a precursor to Silver Snakes’ forthcoming Bridge Nine debut LP Year Of The Snake that was recently recorded with guitarist Alex Estrada (whose “day job” is recording bands including Nails, Touché Amore and currently producing vocals on the new Joyce Manor album). Roger Camaro of No Motive worked with Estrada recording drums and basic tracks for the album as well.  These new Silver Snakes tracks were mixed at Salad Days Studios in Baltimore, MD by Brian McTernan, whose resume’ includes acts influential to Silver Snakes, such as Cave In, Engine Down, Thrice, and Circa Survive. Jay Mass of Defeater mastered the album and the resulting eleven songs, which will be released early next year,  see Silver Snakes going in a darker direction and finds their dynamic range expanding.
