I'm Glad It's You release surprise EP, play shows (2015)

Redlands, California’s I’m Glad It’s You have dropped a surprise EP, their first release with new label home 6131 Records. The EP features title track “Daydreams,” which will appear on the band’s forthcoming release due out in early 2016, as well as two re-recorded songs originally on their 2014 demo and a cover of the Counting Crows hit “A Long December.” All four songs were recorded by Alex Estrada (Joyce Manor, Touché Amoré) and mastered by Bill Henderson (I Am The Avalanche, Adventures). A tape version of the release is also available for preorder now from 6131 Records.

Tapping into a sound that feels almost exclusively Californian, I’m Glad It’s You offer songs that perfectly balance their emotional lyrical content with superb melodies. They masterfully blend elements of punk and indie rock, creating something uniquely their own yet still familiar. “Daydreams” serves as a small sampling of a promising future ahead. I’m Glad It’s You will be playing a number of Southern California shows in the coming weeks before embarking on a tour around their appearance at The Fest in Gainesville, FL next month. Tour dates will be announced soon.
