Ex-Cult share "Cigarette Machine," ready EP for Castle Face

Memphis punks Ex-Cult follow on from the success of their breakout LP Midnight Passenger with their new EP, Cigarette Machine. Frontman, Chris Shaw lends a sneering, spitting toughness to the proceedings while the band flays riffs in loose, hairy mosh inducing menace behind him, touching on post-punk, psych sprawl, and early ’80s hardcore while remaining beholden to none.
Lead single ‘Cigarette Machine’ recently premiered on FADER, where they said “Ex-Cult displayed a knack for genre-smudging clamor, balancing elements of hardcore, punk, and gooey psychedelia.”
Cigarette Machine is out February 9 on Castle Face Records.
