Wax Tailor and D Smoke Share Single “Keep It Movin”

French trip hop producer Wax Tailor and US Rap sensation D Smoke have teamed up to release a new hip hop electro-funk banger “Keep It Movin” today. The track was recorded during quarantine from both sides of the Atlantic as not only a feel good song but a persistent anthem during these times.

With 3 Gold records, many awards and prestigious collaborations & remixes with Aloe Blacc, Nina Simone, Sharon Jones, Ghostface Killah, R.A The Rugged Man, Tricky, Charlie Winston and Keziah Jones, Wax Tailor is recognized as one of the leaders of the international hip hop electro scene. After winning the Netflix competition “Rhythm + Flow”, D Smoke has quickly established himself as one of the rising stars of US Rap, and has been recognized for his writing talent and dexterity by some of the greatest such as Snoop Dogg, Nas, Anderson Paak, Chance The Rapper, and T.I.

Behind the collaboration with Smoke, Wax Tailor says: “I composed this track months ago, I immediately thought that it would be great to work with someone who could inject some great funky energy but still be a lyricist. Someone somewhere between Kendrick & Anderson Paak. When I discovered D Smoke on Netflix I contacted him directly. I usually hate those kind of fake shows but he really used it to shine “outside the matrix”. I knew he was the one I needed to bring the track to the next level & I’m happy we’ve made it. It’s the only positive thing about the quarantine, it gave us time. I really had a great collab with Smoke, he’s brilliant, intelligent & we both got the independent DNA.”

Wax Tailor is currently working on his next album The Shadow Of Their Suns and is preparing a new international tour.
