The War On Drugs Share “Change”

The War On Drugs, share “Change,” a new song from their forthcoming album, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, out this Friday. I Don’t Live Here Anymore is an uncommon rock album about one of our most common but daunting processes—resilience in the face of despair. “Change” sees bandleader Adam Granduciel working through the frustration and hesitations of trying to move forward, documenting just how hard it can be to navigate.

I Don’t Live Here Anymore is The War On Drugs’ first studio album in over four years and first since winning the Grammy for Best Rock Album for 2017’s A Deeper Understanding. The band’s particular combination of intricacy and imagination animates the album’s 10 songs, buttressing the feelings of Granduciel’s personal odyssey. It’s an expression of rock ’n’ roll’s power to translate our own experience into songs we can share and words that direct our gaze toward the possibility of what is to come.

The War On Drugs headline Desert Daze next month. Their upcoming tour kicks off January 19th in Austin, TX and will take them to many of the largest venues they’ve ever played, including their first headlining show at Madison Square Garden. A full list of North American and European dates can be found below. Tickets are on sale now and several dates are sold out.
