LIES (Mike & Nate Kinsella) share “Corbeau”

Today LIES shares “Corbeau”, the new single from the duo composed of cousins Mike and Nate Kinsella. Out now via Polyvinyl Music Co., “Corbeau”, which features background vocals from Now, Now’s KC Dalager, provides a dense atmospheric setting for a gently strummed acoustic guitar and Mike Kinsella’s soft tenor vocals to float above. In the song Mike sings of intimacy so deep, it lingers on long after a relationship has come to an end. “I read your bones like a Brautigan poem / Over and over I traced your shoulders / And in the margins I took notes / For your future lovers to discover,” he sings.

Earlier this year, American Football members and cousins Mike and Nate Kinsella announced their new endeavor LIES with the two-track release of “Blemishes / Echoes” and later followed up with the single and music video “Summer Somewhere”, directed by Nate and filmed by longtime Kinsella visual collaborator Chris Strong.  This weekend the duo will perform live for the first at Pygmalion festival in Urbana, IL on Saturday, September 24th.
