Ganser Shares “Bags for Life” remixed by GLOK

With its latest album Just Look At That Sky (Felte) already topping many critics’ lists this year, Chicago’s Ganser returns with its latest effort, the single, “Bags For Life,” a remix by GLOK (The dance moniker of Ride’s Andy Bell). The track is off the band’s full remix EP, Look At The Sun (Felte), which features a lineup of artists that are still yet to be announced. The EP has a tentative release date of March 2, 2021. GLOK’s remix takes a more expansive approach to the song, exploring electronics in lieu of the driving rhythms and over-the-top guitars and horns.

Of the single, Andy Bell offers, “Ganser are a great band and I was buzzing to be asked to give “Bags for life” a GLOK remix. There was so much within the multi-track that I could work with and I’m very happy with the result.”

Ganser’s Alicia Gaines shares, “‘Bags For Life’ is a song about the end of the world as perceived on the internet, written in 2019. I didn’t imagine the song to be such a time capsule already, its tone has changed from parody to something much more dear in 2020. These online collaborations from quarantine have been a private joy for us, and we are overwhelmed by Andy Bell’s work on this remix.”
