French trip hop producer Wax Tailor and US Rap sensation D Smoke recently teamed up to release hip hop electro-funk banger “Keep It Movin”. Today they share a new music video for the track directed by French motion designer Hugo Dauffy and created within the confines of social distancing. Wax Tailor, D Smoke & Dauffy bypassed the obstacle of lockdown and transformed it into an opportunity to keep things movin’ no matter the circumstances. This unstoppable attitude is reflected in the video with contrasting bold colours and striking collage-esque style visuals. The team worked internationally, shooting in LA, Paris, and London for a final cut that combines innovative stop motion and 3D animation techniques.
The track was recorded during quarantine from both sides of the Atlantic as not only a feel good song but a persistent anthem during these times. With 3 Gold records, many awards and prestigious collaborations & remixes with Aloe Blacc, Nina Simone, Sharon Jones, Ghostface Killah, R.A The Rugged Man, Tricky, Charlie Winston and Keziah Jones, Wax Tailor is recognized as one of the leaders of the international hip hop electro scene. After winning the Netflix competition “Rhythm + Flow”, D Smoke has quickly established himself as one of the rising stars of US Rap, and has been recognized for his writing talent and dexterity by some of the greatest such as Snoop Dogg, Nas, Anderson Paak, Chance The Rapper, and T.I. Wax Tailor is currently working on his next album The Shadow Of Their Suns and is preparing a new international tour.
