Video Premiere: Clancy, “Bleed 4 Me”

Growing up with heavy influences like Blondie, Janis Joplin, and Stevie Nicks to Lady Gaga, Avril Lavigne, and Paramore, British Columbia’s own Clancy twists rock and alternative pop into her own lane of powerful songwriting. Today, Clancy drops the video for her latest single “Bleed 4 Me.” “Bleed 4 Me is a pretty self explanatory song, probably my least complex I’ve ever written,” says Clancy. “But I wanted to take a shot at writing a positive love song; I was madly in love in a toxic relationship. Some of the lyrics are literal, some are how it felt amidst the chaos. (It’s) pretty damn dark for a love song, but that’s forever the mood.” Going along with a mix of Clancy’s sweet and biting vocals, “Bleed 4 Me” also highlight swirling loops and heavy guitar riffs.

From the age of ten Clancy found love for all things dramatic- theatre, musicals, poetry, and songwriting. After having her musical theatre dreams squashed upon realization she literally could not dance, Clancy turned to writing.

Clancy began playing live in Dallas, Texas through her last years of High School when she then turned to homeschooling to continue pursing music. During this transition Clancy spent time in London, England where she started her artist project the fall of 2018. Clancy not only explored all aspects of her songwriting for herself, but also opened to door to writing for other artists.

Clancy has now landed in LA where she has begun to release and perform her new tracks alongside her band.
