Ahead of Thalia Zedek Band’s European tour this February and March, the band has shared the new video for the Perfect Vision (Thrill Jockey) track “Smoked”. Filmed during the band’s December US tour and edited by Andy McBain, the video’s stark black and white footage and collaged textures reflect “Smoked”s unguarded honesty, skeletal architecture, and subtle sonic embellishments. Alison Chesley’s (Helen Money) sweeping cello and Mel Lederman’s piano flourishes bolster the band’s elegantly restrained melodies, while Zedek’s resounding vocals cut through like a knife.

The band’s upcoming tour will be their first time performing music from Perfect Vision in Europe since the album’s release, and features a two-day residency at Wabe in Berlin, with a line-up curated by Zedek including Myriam Gendon and 75 Dollar Bill.
