Codefendants Drop Single “Def Cons,” Announce New Tour

The cat’s out the bag, Codefendants announced the release of their highly-anticipated debut album, This Is Crime Wave (Bottles To The Ground) today. Made up of Fat Mike (NOFX), Sam King (Get Dead) and Ceschi Ramos, the band has released the latest video in its conceptual series. The video/single “Def Cons” takes a different approach, rolling behind ska-like guitars & rhythms allowing for a broader view of the genre-bending outfit. Factor Chandelier handles drums on the track here. The album is set for release on March 24, 2023.

Of the song and video, Fat Mike offers, “I suggest listening to the song first – then watch the video. The song is better than the video, and the video is pretty fucking good.” Commenting on the very real issues addressed in the video for “Def Cons”, Ceschi Ramos says, “As someone who’s been pepper sprayed while arrested, beaten with nightsticks & had more police guns to my head than I’d like to remember, filming this video was an exercise in confronting PTSD. Enjoy.”
