Casual x DEAD PERRY Share “White Crown” Feat. DJ Eclipse

From the Bay to the Nile!  The pairing of Casual x DEAD PERRY has returned with a new drop this week.  “White Crown” is cerebral spit and gritty thump also featuring deft turntable cuts (courtesy of DJ Eclipse). In what may be a spiritual successor to Ras Kass’s legendary “Nature Of The Threat”, Casual drops a masterclass of historical references to the cradle of civilization, both literally and metaphorically.  Casual states, “The White crown represented upper Egypt and the Red crown represented lower Egypt, both who were in constant struggle. I brought the symbology into hip-hop terms.”

This new single follows the potent chemistry the duo demonstrated last year with the release of The Art Of Reanimation LP. Released in CD/CS and Digital via Below System Records (Trizz, Estee Nack/Superior) and vinyl via Tuff Kong, the project featured a plethora of top-notch spitters including Ghostface Killah, Killah Priest, Rockness Monsta, Phesto, Planet Asia, Tristate, ETO, Daniel Son, Celph Titled, Crimeapple and  DJ TMB.
