John Petkovic (Cobra Verde, Sweet Apple, Guided by Voices, Death of Samantha) and Patrick Carney (Black Keys) are in essence and reality, Sad Planets. Both artists come with serious skills and pedigree and are soon set to release the new Akron, Ohio (Tee Pee Records) dropping on 4/19/19

As everyone patiently waits for the new album, the band has shared its new video for the single, “Just Landed.” Also featured here is Dinosaur Jr.’s J. Mascis, who plays with Petkovic in Sweet Apple.

The video focuses on a spaceman (Petkovic) who ‘just lands’ in L.A. and proceeds to wander aimlessly from a disco to the streets. He’s then picked up and taken back to a motel room by a space girl (played by Chelsea Debo, a Los Angeles actor who has appeared in films and videos, including Lana Del Rey’s ‘Love.’) It’s an interesting surreal concept which is something we should all expect.
