Rocky Votolato joins No Sleep Records roster

Huntington Beach independent label No Sleep Records welcome Seattle based singer-songwriter Rocky Votolato to their eclectic lineup. The critically heralded musician is a natural fit with the label’s growing roster that includes a diverse acts like Allison Weiss, Balance and Composure and Xerxes among others.
“I was hanging out with my good friend Rob Moran from Unbroken this past summer when he first mentioned the idea of me partnering up with No Sleep Records,” says Votolato. “The idea instantly made a lot of sense to me so he put me in touch with Ray Harkins at the label. We hit it off right away and realized so many common connections that it already felt like home to me. I’m super grateful and excited to be a part of the No Sleep family and I’m really looking forward to working with them…I can tell that they have an amazing work ethic and passion for the artists they work with.”
Over the course of the last 15 years, Votolato has produced some of the most powerful music to come out of Seattle. He sharpened his teeth with the influential post-hardcore band Waxwing in the early 2000’s, which lead to a prolific solo career over the last decade. His impressive canon of music is anchored by earnest, lyrical songwriting, and delivered in a unique indie-folk-punk style that has evolved out of the Pacific Northwest music scene he was raised in.
After seven full-length solo albums, Votolato begins the next chapter of his storied career with No Sleep Records and plans to release his first record in years this spring.
