Brazilian-American emcee NIKO IS, fresh from a wave of critical acclaim for his Good Blood mixtape featuring FLOSS (remix), has just dropped his latest single, “35,000 ft.”, off of his new album Brutus LP, out February 3 on Javotti Media.
35,000 ft. is NIKO IS at his most lyrical dexterous, with seamless transitions from English to Portuguese that show off his masterful flow highlighted by a supremely confident delivery. This is coupled with an infectious beat courtesy of Chaz Van Queen that manages to firmly support NIKO IS’s bombastic performance while letting NIKO IS take full command of the song.
Brutus LP will be NIKO IS’s first album since signing to Talib Kweli’s label, Javotti Media, and the two will be hitting the road in March for a series of U.S. dates along with Immortal Technique dubbed “The People’s Champions Tour.” Dates and venues are listed below:
