Ear-bleeding Toronto punks HSY debuted the video for their track “Cyber Bully” via Noisey this week.

The first-name only quartet (Jude, Anna, Kat and Link) formed in Toronto in 2011. After a series of cassette releases, their brutally short songs snared the attention of the American and Canadian music press with last year’s self-titled EP on Buzz Records.
Available now both on seven-inch and digitally, “Cyber Bully” and “Phantasm Blast” offer a nerve shredding introduction to HSY’s aggressively emphatic punk sludge. “Cyber Bully” hacks viciously at your defenses, led by pummeling drums that share the bleak tone of fellow Toronto noise band METZ, sharp guitar and caterwauling vocals scream towards a bloody climax. “Phantasm Blast” finds HSY chewing gravel; percussion and distortion collide painfully around a taut mid-tempo rhythm that tightens and bruises like a noose. Black and blue pulverization is assured.
