Minneapolis hip-hop collective Doomtree has added more tour dates to their Off In The Deep tour, which continues tomorrow night (September 23) at Underground Arts in Philadelphia, PA. The new dates begin on November 30 at The Stache in Grand Rapids, MI and conclude on December 5 at the Barrymore Theatre in Madison, WI. The full list of tour dates is below.
The crew also recently revealed their online trivia game Pop Quiz, Hot Shot — equal parts Rap Genius and Trivial Pursuit, the game tests players’ knowledge of the pop culture references on All Hands, which name checks everyone from Kobe Bryant to Venus di Milo. Every day (through September 30) will feature a clue that leads players to a particular reference, which they’ll have to discover somewhere in the album lyrics. Along the way, players will get hints from Minneapolis institutions like The Current, Glam Doll Donuts, and Trivia Mafia, as well as individual Doomtree members themselves, and there are chances to win some amazing prizes. The game is designed for both die-hard fans and recent converts. So even if you don’t have a lyric tattoo, it’s fun–and funny as hell.  It’s full of little interactive videos of the group acting out clues, hanging out backstage, and dunking on 4-foot hoops in Beak’s backyard. October 3, Doomtree will throw a party of its own, dubbed the Doomtree Zoo. It’s the crew’s most ambitious event yet — an all-day spectacle at CHS Field in downtown St. Paul. Headliners include Aesop Rock with Rob Sonic, Trash Talk, Shabazz Palaces, and Doomtree.
