Thundercat Shares Single"Innerstellar Love"

Starting April off right, Stephen Bruner, aka Thundercat shares “Innerstellar Love”, the latest single off his new LP, It Is What It Is (Brainfeeder), out tomorrow. The new track features contributions from longtime collaborators Flying Lotus, Kamasi Washington, and percussionist Ronald Bruner Jr., none other than Thundercat’s older brother.

An intergalactic adventure, “Innerstellar Love” gallops through the cosmos in search of romance. FlyLo contributes more than just production this time – you also hear his voice among the backing vocals. Midway through, Washington’s tenor sax solo joins the journey, filling the void as Bruner’s bass rumbles beneath it.

Ahead of “Innerstellar Love” came singles “Black Qualls”(ft. Steve Lacy, Steve Arrington), “Dragonball Durag”, and “Fair Chance” (ft. Ty Dolla $ign, Lil B). The forthcoming album, produced by FlyLo and Bruner, also features musical contributions from Childish Gambino,  BADBADNOTGOOD, Louis Cole, and Zack Fox.

This album is about love, loss, life and the ups and downs that come with that,” Bruner says. “It’s a bit tongue-in-cheek, but at different points in life you come across places that you don’t necessarily understand… some things just aren’t meant to be understood.”
