Five reasons not to miss The Psychedelic Furs at Bellwether Music Festival

Bellwether Music Festival takes place in Waynesville, Ohio, August 10 and 11 and provides music fans with a weekend of camping and the opportunity to enjoy bands like MGMT, The Flaming Lips, Local Natives, and Dr. Dog. Ghettoblaster will be on hand for the festival and the set we’re perhaps most excited to see belongs to The Psychedelic Furs.
The English rock band founded in London in 1977 remains one of the most influential acts to spawn the post-rock scene. The band scored several hits during their career, including “Pretty In Pink,” which John Hughes adopted for his movie of the same name.
That said, there are so many other incredibly impactful songs in the Psychedelic Furs canon it is nearly impossible to choose just a couple favorites. However, in the interest of brevity, these are the five songs we’re hoping The Furs bring to the table next weekend:
“Imitation of Christ,” from The Psychedelic Furs, 1980

“Into You Like A Train,” from Talk Talk Talk, 1981

“Love My Way,” from Forever Now, 1982

“Heaven,” from Mirror Moves, 1984

“Heartbreak Beat,” from Midnight to Midnight, 1987
