The Goods are onto something, and they’ve realized the moves they’ve been making will allow them to inherit the fruits of their labor. Straight from down under, the members of The Goods, Badmandela, Rosario and Black Tree, obviously play an integral part in creating music under their collaborative moniker.
The Goods’ “Peach” (Bastard Jazz) dropped this past summer but the blazing trail it’s left behind continues to smolder with 4 new remixes set to be released on November 8. First up, B. Bravo’s takes it into a heavy funk zone with big drums and with an additional talkbox, while the band’s alter ego’s The Possé remix, dives deep into soulful house waters. Australia’s M5K gives the track a little bit of lo-fi boogie/80s vibe. There’s also an instrumental included in the mix.
Of the remixes, Black Tree says:
“My hope is that it becomes a feel-good anthem for sexual liberation. Freedom from shame is after all about opening yourself up to the world and that act of vulnerability breaks down walls and allows us to come together. Reminiscent of early Prince, ‘Peach’ is sure to keep you dancing through the Summer with a tasty combination of sweet melody and juicy rhythm.“
