Song Premiere: EL Gant “Chromed Out Feat. Ras Kass, Planet Asia”

It’s been seven years since El Gant has released a new album, 2014’s Beast Academy being his last full-length effort released. But that doesn’t mean the Poughkeepsie who eventually made his way to NYC – Hip-Hop’s mecca – in the 2000s, cutting his teeth in Boom-Bap culture, simply sat on his laurels. The NY native is also one-third of the Jamo Gang alongside Ras Kass and J57, releasing a number of singles, an EP, and an album throughout the past few years.

El Gant of course moves forward, never back, with plans on releasing his new LP, O.S.L.O (Rule By Secrecy), later this fall. The album is set to turn heads with contributions from the likes of Planet Asia, Killah Priest, Bobby J from Rockaway, Innocent?, King Magnetic, and more. Adding to O.S.L.O. are producers, DJ Premier, Marco Polo, and J57 among others.

In anticipation of the release, El Gant shares the new single and banger “Chromed Out” which features J57, of the Brown Bag Allstars, and California legend Ras Kass. The emcees volley the lyricism between the three over a hard-edged Boom-Bap backdrop that’s unrelenting.
