Kansas City’s Gemini Parks teams up with emcee’s J. Arrr (Wilson, North Carolina) and Backwood Sweetie (DMV) for the latest single “Snake Charmer.” The single hits digital streaming platforms on March 30.
The song’s lyrics touch on being doubted, being fooled, seeing the darkness, seeing the light, and making your own unique path in life. As with previous Gemini Parks singles, it was produced by Jarod Evans (Broncho, Flaming Lips).
“Rap meets alt rock!,” says Backwood Sweetie of the collaboration. “[This was} my first interaction with Josh [Berwanger, of Gemini Parks}, and was both genuine and exciting. A genre collision was manifested from a unique bond. I’m happy to call Josh a friend.”
“I’m a really big fan of J. Arrr and Backwood Sweetie, and being able to have them on this track was a dream,” adds Berwanger. “They really pulled the song together with their lyrics. The lyrics touch on being doubted, avoiding the same traps, seeing the darkness, seeing the light, and making your own path within it all.”
