When something old becomes new again, that’s when you have Poptone. This band is the new endeavor taken on by Daniel Ash & Kevin Haskins (Bauhaus, Tones On Tail, Love And Rockets) who seem to have found the fountain of youth, along with Kevin’s daughter Diva Dompé on bass. The band plays reworked versions of old songs from their own catalog for the next generation of music listeners. Some detractors will call the members out for attempting to capitalize on past accomplishments but it isn’t about that because the songs set for release on the self-titled project, set to drop June 8, 2018, on Cleopatra Records, sounds damned good.
