Gideon’s Army Shares “One That I Got”

New York-based Americana project Gideon’s Army has debuted anthemic new single “The One That I Got.” Frontman Rob Bray’s booming vocals swoon over electric guitar riffs as he sings of resisting temptation and recommiting to a long-term love. Teasing a new body of work to come, the track arrives after rollicking summer singles “You Fill Me Up” and “Little Black Book”. Examining the trials and tribulations of sacrifice, fidelity, life on the road, and growth and change in committed relationships, Bray’s narrative lyricism and thunderous beats provide a perfect soundtrack for cruising off into the sunset with the one you love.

Gideon’s Army is crooner Rob Bray and his band. Think Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers or Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. At his core, Bray is an art rocker reminiscent of Elvis or David Bowie, chameleonic in style and sound, drawing on a dynamic range of influences and eclectic genres, but unmistakably rock ‘n’ roll. Gideon’s Army released previous albums King of the League (2014) and Burn for the Living (2016) and has toured in cities across the US, including a performance with the Grammy nominated Danielle Nicole Band.Examining the trials and tribulations of sacrifice, fidelity, and life on the road, the rollicking tracks are testaments to growth and change in committed relationships.
