Straight out of the Bronx comes Brooks Thomas, with an R&B pop filled with swooning vocals, staccato guitars, and a winding rhythm on the new single “Good Sleep.” The Brooks Thomas moniker may place your ideas and assumptions that this is, in fact, one person, which isn’t the case at all. This collective, originally an acoustic two-piece, morphed into a quintet establishing a fresh newer sound in search of more. They found it. Fiddling with that classic R&B sound and merging it with indie-like electronics as well as sprinklings of neo-pop, they’ve accomplished at adding a new perspective on sound.
