Stream: Beach Slang, MPLS

For those with a finely-tuned indie rock palate it is no surprise that both Paul Westerberg and Bob Mould are predominant and persistent influences for Beach Slang frontman James Alex. Dollops of the songwriters’ influences are heaped in healthy quantities amidst his own heart-on-sleeve songwriting prowess.

Since 2014, Beach Slang’s brand of punk tinged rock and roll has catapulted the band into being one of the most recognizable and exciting names in underground music today. With a string of albums on beloved emo/indie institution Polyvinyl and even more EPs under their belt, Beach Slang are ready to unleash their next release via Quiet Panic/Bridge Nine. Beach Slang, recorded with Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls for the tributary EP MPLS, which sees release March 15.
