American vocalist, spoken word artist, and voice actress Lindsay O. recently performed vocals on Coma Cluster Void’s latest single, “Pray for Death.” Listen to it here.
Lindsay O. is a key figure in the underground heavy music scene with a chameleonic range that is intense, dynamic, and upending. Her past and present projects include: Hail the Invisibles, MOSTRO, Catenation, Godhammered, I’m Matador, Lake of Maggots, DOOM Eternal and Travis Orbin’s Projects III. She was also the visionary vocalist between Eyes of Perdition’s critically acclaimed EPs, “Incendiary Truths” and “The Great Pushback.”
Formed in the early 2010s and based between Berlin and North America, Coma Cluster Void is an avant-garde death metal collective known for its dissonant intensity, shifting meters, and philosophical approach to composition. Blending brutal technicality with immersive atmosphere, the band crafts soundscapes that teeter between chaos and control, an intricate collision of crushing riffs, experimental structures, and unrelenting emotional weight.
In 2018, Lindsay O. joined Coma Cluster Void, marking a powerful evolution in the band’s creative direction. Known for her dynamic vocal range, from guttural ferocity to haunting melodic expression, her lyrical and vocal presence brings a deeply human element to the band’s complex sonic landscapes, weaving themes of consciousness, fragmentation, and transcendence through each release.
With their latest single, “Pray for Death,” Coma Cluster Void delves deeper into the abyss of existential reflection and emotional intensity.
Lindsay O.’s commanding vocal performance, alongside vocalists Michael DiSalvo and Auston Taylor, threads through layers of shifting rhythm and dissonant harmony with visceral power and emotional precision. Her delivery, at once feral and deeply expressive, channels the raw tension between despair and defiance, embodying the thematic core of Absurd Romanticism: the struggle to find meaning within the absurdity of existence.
With “Pray for Death,” Coma Cluster Void reaffirms its role as one of the most forward-thinking forces in avant-garde death metal.
