Together as the moniker The Dawn Drapes, Michael Sanzo and Daniel Rice have found inspiration in melody, harmony, and groove driven rhythm. Coupled with songwriting that steers to the rooted style of American and British folk music, the duo’s music offers a psychedelic vibe and thoughtful vocal harmonies.
The Dawn Drapes have recently released a single titled “Pistol.” In an interview, the band said the song was written in part due to “this seemingly perpetual and unstoppable violence.” The events of El Paso, Dayton, Ohio, and more recently Odessa, “Pistol” highlights the band’s frustration towards gun violence.
Steve Voss and Ryan Tullock directed and shot the video with The Dawn Drapes in Nashville, TN at the end of the band’s last tour.
