Based on the brainchild of Greg Ansin, Bronson Taalbi and Anthony J Resta, Electric Lecture is a mix of XTC, Tom Petty, and Beck. Each member of the group plays multiple instruments; Bronson handles the lead vocals while Anthony and Greg lend in the background.
Today Electric Lecture has dropped “What If,” which comes off the forthcoming self-titled album set for release in the fall. The tongue-in-cheek look at conspiracy theories and the terror of “What if….” conjures up the classic ‘90s indie rock vibes that fans of They Might be Giants, Ween, and Fountains of Wayne will enjoy.
“What if it all works out?” Is an energy-filled, passionate track we love to play. It all starts from a guitar riff Anthony recorded on his iPhone. It is sampled in the song. And it did work out,” the band says regarding the single.
