TVOD’s new track, “Wet Brain”, is an incredibly infectious piece of music. For the second single off The Farm (Mothland & Get Better Records) out October 16th, 2026, the New York City outfit turns in a punk rock dynamo that channels pent-up heartbreak anxiety into a heartwrenching yet uplifting anthem. The 2-minute radio burner kicks off with a minimalistic intro where subliminal keyboard chimes act out a sonic hangover, quickly introducing a lyric-centric verse—perhaps an uncrumpled page out of singer-songwriter Tyler Wright’s private journals—before exploding into a truly anthemic chorus, driven by aggressive, cymbal-heavy drums and crashing distorted guitars.
On sophomore full-length The Farm, NYC renegades TVOD further polish their sharp, danceable brand of post-punk—driving basslines, punchy drums, and angular guitars with vocals that feel both detached and urgent. Drawing from underground influences while keeping a modern edge, these songs are gritty yet catchy, perfect for crowded venues and late-night sets. As a whole, the album is propelled by a restless momentum, all the while reflecting the creative chaos of Brooklyn’s distinctive music scene.
The Farm was inspired by life on the road, heartbreak, addiction, and a growing disillusionment with the American political system. Written partly in Europe and demoed on a farm in Neufchâtel-en-Bray (FR), the record also draws parallels to a satirical commandment from George Orwell’s Animal Farm: “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” To that effect, the album explores themes with regard to power, hypocrisy, and a society that feels increasingly absurd, TVOD poking fun at authority while capturing anger, tension, and the collective unease of today.
The album was recorded by Danny Blackburn (Adult DVD) at Nave Studios (Leeds, UK), Tyler Wright (singer-songwriter), Jenna Mark (synth, vocals), Mem Pahl (drums, piano, percussion), Denim Casimir (guitar, vocals), Serge Zbrizher (guitar), and Micki Piccirillo (bass), performing their punkified rock & roll scorchers live off-the-floor in the span of two weeks. The artwork shows a 12”x12” diorama made by Wright on his kitchen table that conjures up a disturbing scene from Orwell’s aforementioned 1945 dystopian allegorical novella.
