Superchunk Shares “Wild Loneliness,” Begins New Tour

Ahead of tour dates that begin on Monday in Seattle, Superchunk debut a music video for “Wild Loneliness” from the new studio album of the same name. Shot by Spence Kelly in the band’s home state of North Carolina, it features Superchunk’s Laura Ballance, Mac McCaughan, Jim Wilbur, and Jon Wurster getting out into nature and befriending a saxophone-wielding Andy Stack (Wye Oak, Joyero).

Superchunk celebrated the release of Wild Loneliness in February with a pair of shows in North Carolina. They return to the west coast next week with support from Quasi and Mike Krol on select dates, followed by a northeast run with TORRES later in the month and June dates across the south with Reigning Sound. The live Superchunk lineup will continue as McCaughan, Wilbur, and Wurster, with Jason Narducy on bass.

On Thursday, March 31, at 2pm ET, Jon Wurster will be hosting an AMA on Reddit’s Indieheads, so get your questions ready! Superchunk also recently announced a special full-band acoustic in-store performance at Rough Trade in NYC ahead of their show at Webster Hall on April 13. A full list of dates can be found below.
