Simon Love Shares “Me And You”

UK indie-pop singer, Simon Love returns with the video for his new single “Me And You.” The former frontman of The Loves shares the single off of the new album Love, Sex and Death etc (Tapete Records), which is out Apr 8th, 2022. The new release follows his 2018 album Sincerely, S. Love x.

Much has seemed to go into his new release, from non-musical influences for this record include his wife, his son, the venal Conservative government, ex-girlfriends, and his inability to pick up on signals whereas musically Simon was aiming for (but not always hitting directly), to artists like Nick Lowe, Kevin Ayers, Silver Jews, Ween and all the Kinks between 1971 and 1975. The 12 songs, written between 2017 and 2019 mostly, were recorded in two batches in July and November 2020 after being rehearsed for 6 months with the initial plan of recording them as live as possible all together in one room.
