Neil Gust is no stranger to music, as is No. 2, the band he’s fronted post-Heatmiser. No. 2 has shared the video to its new single, “I’m On A Mission,” which is off the band’s third album, First Love (Jealous Butcher), set to be released on September 9, 2022.

With the new single it doesn’t seem the band, which also includes singer/bassist Gilly Ann Hanner (Calamity Jane, Desir) and drummer Paul Pulvirenti (Eyelids), hasn’t lost a step, filling its songs with fuzzy hooks, heart cracking harmonies, pole vaulting riffs, and queer subtexts. “I’m On A Mission” follows the first two singles “Model Of The Universe” and “You Might Be Right” which offer up the band’s eclecticism.
