The emcee/producer duo of Kingdom Kome and The Equation Beats have released a new video this morning. “Canto Al Immigrante” features a spoken word appearance by Sunez Allah and holds special personal significance to the emcee. Speaking on the track he revealed, “the title translates to ‘song to the immigrant’ and touches on my parents’ journey from Argentina, where they were jailed under an oppressive dictatorship.” Spitting part of his verse in Spanish and accompanied by the Colombian Producer, the message is poignant to both artists in the current climate.
“Canto Al Immigrante” appears on the newly released collaborative LP, Arepa Y Manteca (available via all streaming platforms). Another video was recently released that combined two other tracks from the project “Mantecon” and “Arepa Mantecon” (and was shot on location in Medellin).
