Video Premiere: the Blanks, "Simple As A Song"

Ghettoblaster is excited to unveil the new video from the Blanks brand new LP, Yellow Fading Glimmer. In the video for “Simple As A Song,” the Blanks’ offspring pull off an endearing if not convincing miming of their parents’ music.
“Our poor children have been subjected to Blanks music playing all of their lives so we thought it was only fitting for them to perform one of our songs in a video.” said the Blanks’ Dan Nordheim. “Through no choice of their own, they know our music better than we do.”

The story of the Blanks is an interesting tale of young Michigan punks who grew up and moved away from their hometown, only to reunite periodically enough to write and record their first album in 13 years. The result is an album whose jangly lo fi charm brings to mind college rock of the 1980s. Let’s hope the band continues to find some creative time in the same zip code and doesn’t take as long to bring us their next output!
