Video Premiere: American Spirits, "C'est La Vie"

I can remember the exact moment when I wanted to pursue music journalism.  Those bone-chilling goosebumps crawling up all over my body.  The hopeful optimism of reaching the peak of the mountaintop of the profession.  However, I quickly came to the realization that life has a way to keep you in check till that day comes.
The same goes for those who have aspirations to take their band to the promised land.  For Bowling Green, Ohio’s own American Spirits, the members of the group channeled their frustrations and struggles of maintaining a relatively normal life while chasing their dreams throughout the debut EP Nowhere Near Perfect.
Today, Ghettoblaster is proud to premiere the infectious pop-punk single “C’est La Vie” along with the video.  “Anytime something beyond human control would go wrong as a kid, my dad would say ‘C’est La Vie’. Such is life is the idea that sometimes things happen, good or bad and we can’t do anything about it,” band member Trey Miles says when talking about the backdrop of the single.  “C’est La Vie” is also influenced by the band’s recent bouts with car trouble and the general frustration of transitioning to serious adulthood.
In the meantime, American Spirits and all those who dare to dream of reaching their loftiest of goals will keep rolling on!
Nowhere Near Perfect is slated for release on February 23.
