Ahead of the release of their new album Negative Work, out May 25th, Boston trio E (Thalia Zedek ex-Come, Gavin McCarthy ex-Karate, Jason Sidney Sanford ex-Neptune & Trunk Federation) have unveiled the video for new single “Pennies”. Written following the death of one of Thalia Zedek’s close friends, the track and video together explore the idea of severed family relationships. Switching from stark black and white imagery of father/daughter figures to live footage of the band, the track’s churning guitars gradually wind up into a thundering chorus – an explosive release of pressure.
Following the release of Negative Work, the band will be touring through summer and into autumn, including shows with Shellac, Superchunk and Omni, as well as a set at Keizsalon Fest in Berlin. Full list of dates below.
