Throughout the years the word “alternative” has gone through the whitewashed corporate machinery so many times, it’s difficult to even take it seriously whenever it’s utilized. More often than not, it reeks of a derivative subculture. Luckily for Black Surf though, they don’t fall into those trappings and play with an unabashed love in what they do.

The London trio, made up of Ali Epstone (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Bryan Diggle (Synths & Vocals), Tomas Oliver Moore (Drums & Vocals), just announced the release of two new E.P.s to be released this year, and the first of which, Make Friends, is set to drop May 15, 2019. In anticipation of the new recording, the band shares the video for the first single, “Major Regiment.”
