1971 Shares Video "Anxiety (In The Depths Of Northwestern Ontario)

As the final bell tolled for the Canadian group 1971, they’ve shared the video for the song “Anxiety (In The Depths Of Northwestern Ontario).” The song is a tribute to their bassist, founding member, and friend Cameron Glen Cranston who suddenly passed away in February 2017 at the young age of 25 years old.  the band will be releasing this song, as well as two others, on cassette and 7” vinyl (Art of the Uncarved Block)  December 1st. The EP entitled No Matter Where You Go, There You Are.
The band refused to continue as a group without their friend and brother-in-arms, opting to release the final demos they recorded back in 2016. The timbre of “Anxiety (In The Depths Of Northwestern Ontario)” is filled with angst and heartbreak and the sound they’ve committed to here is reminiscent of 90’s slowcore with added dynamics and changes in tempo. It’s certainly captivating.
