The LA indie rock quartet Western Scene are back today with a new single, the soulful See What You Want To, their first new music since their last single, Same As You, had a 6 week run on KROQ last fall. They’ve been hard at work on a new record with Hugo Nicolson (Primal Scream/Radiohead), who has encouraged the band to play up their R&B influences on the new songs.
See What You Want To is going to draw some obvious comparisons (early Fitz & The Tantrums, Foster the People) and some less so (late model Beck), but its an undeniable jam.

The band is currently recording their follow up EP with Nicholson at their home studio in Beachwood Canyon, seamlessly building upon their indie rock roots with R&B sensibilities, and is due it in Fall 2014.
