Hailing from Washington, D.C. Alex Lee and Andrew Monborne formed VEDAS in the Summer of 2013 seeking a way to put the individual subconscious thought and emotion into sound. VEDAS can be described as ominous and ethereal, the music creating an atmosphere that embraces inner emotion and reflection. “We write what we feel”, expressed Lee. “VEDAS is an open door; we expose all of our thoughts and emotions to our listeners. Music is our most personal expression of feeling, and VEDAS is the result.” With divergent musical backgrounds, Monborne’s distinct ethnic percussion compliments Lee’s classical training and ambient vocals forging an aura reminiscent of a hollow depletion of hope.
