TheBlaze adds Andrew W.K. show

TheBlaze, Glenn Beck’s news, opinion and entertainment network, announced today the expansion of TheBlaze Radio Network with the addition of rock ‘n’ roll party guru Andrew W.K.’s new weekend radio show, America W.K.
America W.K. is a weekly two hour program and debuts on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Andrew will host a raw and penetrating discussion of what it is to be alive – meaning, motivation, mindset, and making dreams come true, all included in a celebration of life itself – and all with a positive and honest outlook. Andrew will also field questions and input from the audience, adding an engaging interactive component.
Born in 1979, Andrew W.K.’s career has followed an unpredictable path. Starting in the the entertainment industry in 2001 with the release of his infamous bloody nose debut album, I Get Wet, the all-white clad rocker has specialized in an extremely high-energy style of “party-hard” music and paired it with an extremely empowering positive personality. He quickly became a cult-like inspirational figure for young people, and expanded his work to include television, writing, and lecturing. This will be his first ever radio show.
Andrew W.K. said: “When Glenn asked me to do my own radio show on TheBlaze, I was shocked but excited, as I knew he would allow me the unrestrained freedom to say exactly what I wanted.  I’m very dedicated to exploring and learning from different people in different places, and always with an open heart.  If people never went outside their own box, life would be boring.  After all, why would I only want to talk with people who already think exactly like me?”
Glenn Beck, Founder and Owner of TheBlaze said: “My relationship with Andrew W.K. is a perfect example of how two people can come together on what unites us, and become strange bedfellows. He is open minded, honest, loves his fellow man even though he may disagree with him, and is a natural entertainer. Our mutual audiences have already begun to find commonalities. I think he is the perfect fit for TheBlaze Radio Network.” T
he addition of America W.K. to the Saturday lineup brings the current number of hours of original programming on TheBlaze Radio Network to 54. TheBlaze Radio Network is home to Jay Severin, Doc Thompson, Pat & Stu, Buck Sexton, Andrew W.K. and includes a simulcast of The Glenn Beck Program, America’s third-highest rated radio show. TheBlaze Radio Network can be heard on TheBlaze.com, TheBlaze’s iPhone & iPad apps, iHeart Radio, Clear Channel’s industry-leading digital radio service and on SiriusXM.
