The Twilight Sad to tour with The Cure (2016)

Today, Scottish trio The Twilight Sad announced they’ll be joining The Cure on their 2016 U.S. tour. This comes after Robert Smith covered the band’s own “There’s a Girl In The Corner” earlier this year. The first three dates at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, Chicago’s UIC Pavilion, and New York City’s Madison Square Garden have been announced with more dates to be announced in 2016. See below for details.
This announcement comes as the band prepares to release their Òran Mór Session LP next week on Oct 16 via FatCat Records. Òran Mór Session is a collection of stripped-back, reimagined versions of tracks from the band’s last album, Nobody Wants To Be Here and Nobody Wants To Leave, as well as its b-sides and a cover of Arthur Russell’s ‘I Couldn’t Say It To Your Face’.  Pre-sale for the CD, LP or digital version is available now on the band’s website: http://store.thetwilightsad.com/
Last month The Twilight Sad released the video for the LP’s version of  “Nobody Wants To Be Here And Nobody Wants to Leave.” The sparse black and white video was filmed in Glasgow’s Òran Mór auditorium and features singer James Graham and guitarist Andy MacFarlane. You can watch the video here.
